Reykjanes in Ísafjarðardjúpi

Reykjanes is located in Ísafjarðardjúp on northwest part of Iceland, Ísafjarðardjúp is biggest of the West Fjords in Iceland. Reykjanes is located 17 km from the main road to Ísafjörður.
The view from Reykjanes is spectacular; there is a variety of hiking routes and you won't easily forget the unique stillness of the morning and evening.
We are proud of the birdlife in the area and you will often be able to watch the seals at the seaboard, sometimes we even see whales playing near the coast here.
At Reykjanes there is abundant geothermal heat, and all the buildings are heated by water from hot springs, actualy the hotel in Reykjanes are build on top of three hot springs.
Our 12 by 50 m swimming pool is one of a kind, it was build 1934. 1998 we built a natural sauna or steam bath, both exploiting the abundant, naturally flowing hot spring water. There are also excellent facilities for sunbathing near the swimming pool, swimming pool use water from hot springs and is wery healthy for your skin. Also stay in the pool around midnight during winther and enjoy Northern lights dancing over the sky, or during summertime and live our spectacular White nights in Iceland, watch the sun go behind mountains and come up again few minutes later, this is seeing that you have to experience your self to understand how amasing the nature is.
The pool is one of our main attractions, because travellers enjoy the relaxation they experience in the unusually warm swimming pool .
At Reykjanes there are very good facilities for conferences and meetings. There is one large conference room and several room with various possibilities, e.g. meeting rooms of different sizes and a sound proof work area, music hall with a bar, and a sports facility, relatively well equipped.
Our campsite is located near the hotel, and visitors have free access to the swimming pool, toilets, outdoor grills, electric, showers and wireless Internet is on the campsite.
